Brookhaven is located approximately 15 miles north of Down-town Atlanta along Peachtree Road.
Brookhaven, established as one of Atlantaÿs first country club communities, is situated in the northern part of Buckhead and is known for its exquisite homes, tree lined streets and in-town convenience.
Historic markers are positioned all throughout the generous winding streets of Brookhaven. In the 1980ÿs this community established a place on the National Register of Historic Places.
Brookhaven provides its residents with the opportunity to take advantage of some of Atlantaÿs best schools such as: Sarah Smith Elementary and North Atlanta High. Throughout the day you will find lots of people running, biking and walking all the while taking in the serene setting and beautiful homes that surround this lush neighborhood.
It is the home of Oglethorpe University and the Brookhaven MARTA station. From 1958 through 1963, the former Brookhaven Elementary School on Fernwood Circle was the location of National Recording Corporation, which was instrumental in the early careers of Ray Stevens, Jerry Reed, and Joe South.
