The cityÿs courthouse, built in 1825, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is the oldest surviving courthouse in Georgia. The city holds many annual events, including the Old Courthouse Art Show, the Main Street Festival, and Christmas in Fayetteville. In addition, the Villages Amphitheater has a summer concert series, which is always a source of good entertainment.
